Purpose:
Warehouse Loader of Hampton Farms is involved in the transportation of food products intended for the consumer. The Warehouse Loader needs to have an overall understanding of receiving practices, shipping practices, loading/unloading materials and product. Must know the proper packaging and labeling of finished product used at Hampton Farms in order to stage loads for pick-up. Must be able to fill out paperwork neatly and efficiently. The Warehouse Loader is trained in various areas pertaining to the job required. Warehouse Loader must maintain a clean and sanitary environment and must be familiar with the activity on the production floor to react if a crisis arises.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
Essential Duties and Description:
Include the following though other duties may be assigned:
- Work in conjunction with production supervisor and quality assurance department as well as other Hampton Farms team members supporting warehouse requirements of Hampton Farms Peanut Company.
- Collaborating with other Hampton Farms team members in being committed to delivering the best possible experience to our customers and employees in support of our mission, vision, and values.
- Understand the packaging and labeling of peanut products at Hampton Farms.
- Be able to fill out paperwork/BOL's neatly and efficiently.
- Understand paperwork/BOL's regarding loads.
- Stage loads according to BOL's/Pick List.
- Unload Incoming Materials (Corrugated, film, ingredients).
- Operate a forklift to assist with loading/unloading trucks and moving product throughout the warehouse for staging or rotating inventory.
- Assist in handling incoming claims/returns.
- Keep warehouse clean per Master Sanitation Schedule.
- Perform inventory controls and keep quality standards that comply with customer specifications, rules and regulations.
- Assist Warehouse Manager/Lead with inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling when needed.
- Conduct month end inventory to include: raw and finished product, rework product, packaging material, pallet inventory and damaged inventory.
- Conduct daily inventory to include: finished product locations, rework product and damaged inventory.
- Understand the Pick Pack Ship Inventory System. Training of fellow co-workers may be required.
- Work with Production Team on materials needed for each production day.
- Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment, including daily forklift checklist.
- Must be able to lift over 50 lbs. repeatedly and work in extreme environmental changes such as weather.
- Work extensively driving forklift, sitting for long periods of time.
- May stand at palletizer at times, wrapping production being produced.
- Ensure production boxes are labeled correctly and wrapped to prevent damaged product.
- Motivate staff to make an effective and efficient team.
- Assist with checking in and signing out drivers.
- Helping with drivers/paperwork for both inbound and outbound loads.

- Work with team members maintaining daily sanitation by cleaning work area at end of shift.
Quality Assurance: - Knows and adheres to GMP Policy and all Quality policies and procedures.
- Assists in identifying and/or reporting non-conforming product to aid in eliminating waste.
- ANYONE who is aware of a food safety/quality issue is to stop production immediately and inform Quality Assurance and their Manager or Supervisor of the food safety/quality issue(s) to determine whether or not product/materials should be placed on hold.
- Communicates daily with Quality Assurance Manager to ensure customer specifications are met.

Additional Sanitation Responsibilities: - Knowledge of Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure all chemical containers are labeled and used in the correct way.
- Ensure overall compliance and adherence to sanitation schedule and/or requirements.
If Warehouse Loader is out, a trained responsible person shall be designated to run the Warehouse. Another warehouse loader will be designee.
Education and Experience: Required: - High School diploma or equivalent.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends.
- Ability to clearly present recommendations/ideas and to summarize issues.
- Ability to appropriately handle and maintain confidential material.
Desired: - Experience in warehouse operations, inventory experience, or logistics in food manufacturing.
- Must be able to work well both independently and collaboratively.
Skills/Competencies: - Second language (Spanish), a strong plus .
- Proficient in standard Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Work)
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: None Required. Forklift certifications or production and inventory management certifications, helpful or as needed.
