Survey Technician

Join us as a Survey Technicianwhere precision meets exploration. Are you ready to take your surveying skills to the next levelliterally and figuratively? As a Survey Technician, you won't just be behind a desk. You'll be out in the field, traveling across the country tocapture the built environment with cutting-edge LiDAR technology and reality capture tools. From rooftops to mechanical rooms, you'll document the heartbeat of buildingselectrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC systemsensuring every detail is safely and accurately recorded. Back at HQ, you'll transform raw point cloud data into crisp AutoCAD drawings and immersive Revit models that help shape the future of architecture and construction.

What You'll Do:

  • Use advanced LiDAR scanners (Leica and more) to capture high-resolution data of real-world buildings.
  • Register point clouds and create precise 2D and 3D representations in AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Document critical building systems with clarity and accuracy.
  • Prepare visual reports and perform quality checks to ensure deliverables meet top standards.
  • Collaborate with field and office teams to refine capture methods and workflows.
  • Uphold safety protocols while working in diverse environmentsfrom rooftops to rural sites.

What You'll Need:

  • 25 years of building survey experience.
  • Willingness to travel nationally 6080% of the time.
  • Experience with LiDAR scanning, Leica tools, and point cloud registration.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).
  • Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and adapt to indoor/outdoor conditions.
  • Independence and flexibility to travel across urban and rural geographies.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $24.04 - $34.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
