Performs specialized work in the enforcement of regulations and the protection of life at the swimming pool. This position is responsible for maintaining discipline and behavior among swimmers and rescuing those in distress. Follows established policies and procedures with minimal assistance. Work is subject to review through visual inspections by a Supervisor who is generally present at the pool. This position typically works 20 hours or less per week, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, with infrequent overtime as required. Additional hours may be required as directed by the Supervisor.
This position is classified as safety sensitive and is subject to drug testing policies, including pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing for substances such as marijuana, amphetamines, opioids, phencyclidine (PCP), cocaine, and any drug not approved for medical use by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration or the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
