We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Right-of-Way (ROW) Acquisition Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the acquisition of easements and rights-of-way for transmission and distribution projects. This role involves engaging with stakeholders, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing support to project teams to facilitate smooth ROW acquisition processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ROW Acquisition: Identify, negotiate, and secure easements and rights-of-way for transmission and distribution projects.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with landowners, governmental agencies, and community organizations to support ROW acquisition efforts.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all ROW acquisition activities comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Project Support: Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to provide ROW support for new and existing projects.
  • Documentation: Prepare, maintain, and organize accurate records of ROW agreements, negotiations, and all related correspondence.
  • Conflict Resolution: Effectively address and resolve disputes with landowners or other stakeholders concerning ROW issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Site Assessments: Conduct field surveys and assessments to identify potential ROW needs and evaluate environmental and site-specific considerations.
  • Reporting: Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for management, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:

  • Permitting Experience: Candidates should have experience in non-environmental permitting processes.
  • Tribal Experience: Tribal experience is highly preferred but not required.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in ROW acquisition, land management, or related fields.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of ROW regulations and permitting processes.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with tribal lands and understanding of tribal government processes.
  • Familiarity with transmission and distribution projects.
